Outsiders to Freemasonry are often confused, or even offended, about the membership policies and qualifications of the Craft. Put simply,
Freemasonry is a fraternity that does not recruit for membership. These are among the specific rules that are so old, and held to be so
inviolable, that they are termed the "Ancient Landmarks of Freemasonry". We make no excuses for, nor exceptions from them. Fathers do not ask their sons to join, no matter how much they hope for it. We do not solicit our oldest and dearest friends. Because we do not invite men to
join us, no matter how deserving we may think they are, we may appear aloof, secretive and even ominous to the outside world. To become a
Mason, a man must first ask a Mason about joining the organization.
The Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment is a
grantmaking public charity. Unlike a private foundation, we were not
launched with a big endowment. So each year we have to raise the money
that we give away as grants to community-based organizations or invest
in our youth leadership and environmental justice programs. Our funding
comes from donations, grants from other foundations, or legal
restitution payments and cy pres funds.
We provide cellphone screen repair, ipad repair and computer repair services in this area as well as merchandise sales, data recovery and etc. Most of our repairs are done within an hour. We also do IT consulting.
Ciana W. on Yelp says: "Eco Cleaners is simply the best.--good enough to motivate my first Yelp review in a very long time.
I never thought a dry cleaner could feel so much like a quaint neighborhood shop. Ouyna, the wonderful owner, always remembers who I am and waves hello to me when I walk by. She's amazingly friendly, thoughtful, and kind. You can just tell that she takes great pride in her work."

We Changed Our Name - The Pasta Shop is now Market Hall Foods - August 2016
Originally named The Pasta Shop after the fresh pasta and ravioli the store made daily (and still does), in 2016 the nationally recognized specialty food store changed it's name to Market Hall Foods. Now, Market Hall Foods encompasses two retails stores in Oakland and Berkeley, as well as the online shop, markethallfoods.com.
The first Market Hall Foods opened in 1987 inside the European-style market place, Rockridge Market Hall. Then in 1996, a new location was opened at the 4th Street Shopping District in Berkeley. Then, an e-commerce site, selling a curated selection of ingredients from the shops, was launched in 2005.
The brand name The Pasta Shop still exists and the fresh pasta, ravioli and sauces the company makes are sold at our retail and online shops, as well as at the San Francisco Farmers Market, GoodEggs.com, many markets throughout the Bay Area, and is also served at over 200 restaurants.
All these businesses are still owned and operated by the Wilson family, siblings Sara, Tony and Peter. In 2017, Market Hall Foods & The Pasta Shop will celebrate 30 years.
Google+ user says: "great customer service, quick, easy, and hard working. Got new holes on 5 belts and keys made in the 15 mins right before close. Also left a pair of shoes to get repaired, which will be done a couple of days. Best of all, they are honest and straight to the point."
